ACCESS

ACCESS Is extra public transportation available during the Festival?

Yes. During the Festival, the SBB adds capacity to the regularly scheduled trains and schedules extra trains each evening.
The free VMCV (Vevey-Montreux-Chillon-Villeneuve) bus service on the reinforced routes 201 and 204 is once again offered from 6 p.m. on weekdays and from 2 p.m. on weekends; moreover, the offer is extended until 5 a.m. every day.

ACCESS Is parking available near the Festival?

The Festival strongly recommends that you use public transport, as on-site parking is limited. Parking outside the official car parks is prohibited.

As soon as they leave the motorway, motorists are redirected via road signs to the car parks available in Montreux, Villeneuve and La Tour-de-Peilz. Real-time information is broadcast on Cartoriviera and on the illuminated signs at the entrances to the town.

ACCESS How do I get to the Festival?

Train: Montreux is easily accessed by train. The SBB train station is a few minutes’ walk from the Festival.

Car: As soon as they leave the motorway, motorists are redirected via road signs to the car parks available in Montreux, Villeneuve and La Tour-de-Peilz. Real-time information is broadcast on Cartoriviera and on the illuminated signs at the entrances to the town.

Bus: Bus lines serve the Montreux area.

Plane: The Geneva International Airport is one hour away, either by direct train or by car.

Boat: Located on the shores of Lake Geneva, the Festival may also be accessed by boat from Geneva, Lausanne, and even Evian-les-Bains, France. Schedules: www.cgn.ch

Bike: There are several parking lots for bicycles near the Festival.

ACCESS Is the Festival site accessible for people in wheelchairs?

Yes. Optimal access to all our spaces for everyone is a priority goal for the Festival.

ACCESS How old do you have to be to access the venues?

For safety reasons, children under the age of 6 are not allowed in the concert areas. All persons under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult to access the concert areas.

The organizers decline all liability for any injuries caused by failure to comply with this policy.

Access to the following locations is restricted to people over 18 years of age from 10pm: Ipanema, El Mundo, Pool Parties, Ibis, Lake House.

Access to Lisztomania is open to anyone over the age of 16.

ACCESS Do I have to exchange my ticket for a bracelet to access the paying venues?

Yes! All tickets must be exchanged for a bracelet granting access to the concert halls. They are available as of 4pm on different spots on the Festival site. The Festival organizer reserves the right to refuse any exchange or restitution of entrance bracelets in case they are damaged or has been lost.

ACCESS What objects are prohibited in the concert halls?

It is forbidden to bring the following objects into the concert halls: bulky luggage or backpacks, glass bottles or objects, cans, gourd bottles, food, animals, cameras, audio recorders, umbrellas, seats of any kind, rollerblades, skateboards, pyrotechnic objects, weapons of any kind, throwing objects, tear gas, helmets, flagpoles, banners, placards and in general any object that is dangerous or that can be used as a projectile. A compulsory control is carried in the main hall of the building. If the owner of an unauthorized and/or dangerous object refuses to remove it, he/she will be refused access to the venue without refund of the ticket.

ACCESS Is filming or recording permitted during concerts?

It is forbidden to capture and/or record sounds and/or images of the concerts. This prohibition concerns both the live performances of the artists/groups and their broadcasts on the screens. Violation of this rule may result in the confiscation of equipment and immediate expulsion from the Festival without compensation.

ACCESS Can I access the scenes if the concert has already started?

We strongly advise our audience to arrive for the opening of the doors in order to guarantee a smooth entry into the room.

Entry is possible at all times, even after the start of the concert.

TICKETS

TICKETS What happens if I lose my ticket?

If your ticket is lost or damaged:

Before the Festival:
◦ please contact the point of sale where you bought your ticket.
◦ If the ticket was purchased on our website, you can log in to your account by clicking on the “MY ACCOUNT” button at the top right of this page. It is possible to reprint print@home tickets. Don’t forget to destroy your damaged print@home tickets!
◦ If the ticket was purchased from Ticketcorner, you can log in directly to your account on their website.

At the Festival:
If you lose your ticket, please go to the Festival box office, and they will advise you on the proper procedure to follow.

In general, don’t forget to check your spam/junk mail box.

TICKETS Is the confirmation email a concert ticket?

No. The confirmation email is not valid as a ticket. Only the bar-coded ticket grants access to the concert venues.

TICKETS When can tickets be reimbursed?

Tickets, packages and badges are neither returnable nor exchangeable. For refunds, the below conditions apply.

In the event of a change in program, schedule or date, the Festival reserves the right to decide, according to the circumstances, either to refund tickets or packages up to the price mentioned on the ticket or package (excluding CHF 5.- flat fee for each ticket or package in accordance with the recommendations of the Swiss Music Promoters Association), or to exchange them for tickets or packages for another evening.

In case of cancellation of the Festival or of an evening in its entirety, tickets, packages and passes will be refunded up to the price indicated on the ticket, package or passes (excluding CHF 5.- flat fee for each ticket or package in accordance with the recommendations of the Swiss Music Promoters Association), and/or a return of equivalent value will be offered.

If an evening is interrupted beyond half the duration of the scheduled concerts, the ticket or package will not be refunded or exchanged.

TICKETS Can I print my ticket at the Festival?

No. Print@Home tickets must be printed before you come to the Festival grounds. The organizers are unfortunately not able to provide printers for on-site ticket printing. If you forget or lose your Print@Home ticket, you will be refused entry to the concert due to not having a valid ticket.

TICKETS Does the Festival offer tickets for persons with disabilities?

Yes. Providing optimal access for all to our spaces is one of our top priorities. Our guests with disabilities can obtain a free standing concert ticket for a companion, and have access to specially equipped areas.

Important: You must order your concert tickets “Accueil handicap” prior to the Festival. We unfortunately cannot take reservations on the day of a concert due to limited availability.

TICKETS Can I buy tickets at the Festival?

For sold out shows, a limited number of tickets will be offered for sale on the day gf the concert. Each person may only purchase a single ticket, and the bracelet will be immediately placed on the purchaser’s wrist.

TICKETS What happens if a concert is canceled?

In case of cancellation of the Festival or of an entire evening, tickets and subscriptions will be refunded up to the price indicated on the ticket, package or subscription (excluding a flat fee of CHF 5.00 for each ticket or package, in accordance with the recommendations of the Swiss Music Promoters Association), and/or a counter-performance of equivalent value (such as a Montreux Jazz Insider subscription, a gift voucher or other) will be offered.

No, according to our sales conditions tickets cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded.

Information on ticket categories
The Montreux Jazz Festival offers the following ticket categories:

Lake Stage:
Category A: Seated, covered, easy access: bar and WC.
Category C: Standing
Category E: VIP East podium, standing area on a raised platform, excellent visibility of the stage, close proximity to the artists, easy access: fast lane, bar and WC.
Category W: VIP West podium, standing area on a raised platform with a plunging view of the stage, easy access: fast lane, bar and WC.
Category S: Seated Package – front rows and open bar for the duration of the concert, easy access: fast lane, bar and WC (more information on https://www.montreuxjazzfestival.com/en/festival/abonnements-packages/seated-package)

Casino Stage:
Category A: Seated
Category C: Standing
Category P: Podium, standing area on a raised platform, excellent visibility of the stage.

HEALTH & EMERGENCIES Should I use earplugs?

The Festival strives to comply with all applicable standards for the protection of hearing. However, the noise level can reach 100 decibels at certain locations and concerts. It is therefore recommended to use ear plugs. These ear plugs are available free of charge at the entrance to the concert areas. Please note that the cantonal authorities carry out checks on all concerts.

SERVICES Is there a camping on the Festival ground?

No. However, there are several campgrounds nearby.

Access to the Festival is also quick and easy from campgrounds near the city of Lausanne, about 30 minutes away.

LAKE STAGE

LAKE STAGE Will the concerts be held on the “Scène du Lac” in case of rain?

Yes, concerts on the “Scène du Lac” take place regardless of the weather, except in case of weather hazards.

LAKE STAGE From what time is it possible to access the Lake Stage?

The ticket office and bracelet stands open at 4:00 PM and the doors at 7:00 PM.
The concerts start at 8:00 PM.

LAKE STAGE Are the seats covered in case of rain?

The stands are covered. However, we advise you to take a rain jacket in case of bad weather.
The standing places are not covered.
The VIP East and West podiums are not covered.

CASINO STAGE

CASINO STAGE From what time is it possible to access the Casino Stage?

The ticket office and bracelet stands open at 4:00 PM and the doors at 7:30 PM. The concerts start at 8:30 PM.

GIFT VOUCHERS

GIFT VOUCHERS How long are gift vouchers valid?

Gift vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase.

GIFT VOUCHERS What happens if I don’t use the full amount of my gift voucher on an order?

A new voucher is generated, with the balance of the initial amount. This is sent to the purchaser’s address at the same time as the purchased ticket(s).
